Monroe Express Track and Field Competes At Day 2 Of Rutgers Invitational

New York, N.Y., February 12, 2022 – The Monroe Express track and field squad suited up on Day 2 of the Rutgers Invitational Saturday morning at The Armory in New York, New York. The Express competed in three events on the day.
 
Jeremiah Herbert (Queens Village, N.Y.) and Romar Scott (Whithorn, Jamaica) both competed in the Men's 600 Meter with Herbert finishing 16th with a time of 1:23.95 and Scott coming in 20th with a time of 1:24.64.
 
Wayne Stephenson (Falmouth, Jamaica) competed in the Men's 800 Meter and finished 31st with a time of 2:01.15.
 
Angre Cattouse (Bronx, New York) competed in one event for Express women's track and field team in the Women's 200 Meter Dash finishing 45th with a time of 29.13.

ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE COLLEGE
The athletic program at Monroe College encompasses a total of 36 teams competing across nine sports. There are 19 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as club men's and women's rugby, the Monroe College marching band, and the newly added esports program, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus, has 17 teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
