NEW YORK, N.Y., February 11, 2022 – The Monroe Express track and field squad competed on Day 1 of the Rutgers Invitational Friday morning at The Armory in New York, New York. The Express competed in four events in the meet.
The Men's Distance Medley team of
Jeremiah Herbert (Queens Village, N.Y.),
Danario Douglas (Prospect District Hanover, Jamaica),
Romar Scott (Whithorn, Jamaica), and
Jabari Davis-Underwood (New York, New York) had the top performance of the day, clocking in with a time of 11:21.87 and a third-place finish.
Davis-Underwood competed in the Men's 400 Meter dash, finishing with a time of 53.89 and in 25th place.
Angre Cattouse (Bronx, New York) competed for the Express women's track and field team in the Women's 60 Meter Dash and the Long Jump.
Cattouse finished 32nd in the Long Jump with a 4.42-meter performance and 37th in the 60 Meter Dash with a time of 8.96

ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE COLLEGE
The athletic program at Monroe College encompasses a total of 36 teams competing across nine sports. There are 19 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as club men's and women's rugby, the Monroe College marching band, and the newly added esports program, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus, has 17 teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
