Boston, MA, January 30, 2022 – The Monroe Express men's track and field program continued to rewrite the record books on the final day of the John Thomas Terrier Classic, hosted by Boston University, setting another school record in the 4x400 Relay.

Wayne Stephenson (Falmouth, Jamaica),
Danario Douglas (Prospect District Hanover, Jamaica),
Romar Scott (Whithorn, Jamaica), and
Jeremiah Herbert (Queens Village, N.Y.) followed up Friday's recording setting performance with an encore on Sunday setting a new school record in the Men's 4x400 Relay with a time of 3:25.47.
Herbert and
Douglas also competed individually in the Men's 500 meters finishing right behind each other in 14th and 15th with times of 1:05.91 and 1:06.91, while
Stephenson clocked in with a time of 2:02.58 in the Men's 800 meters.
Next month, the Express track and field program returns to competition beginning Friday, February 11, at the Monmouth Winter Collegiate Invitational in West Long Branch, New Jersey. For more information, please visit the

ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE COLLEGE
The athletic program at Monroe College encompasses a total of 36 teams competing across nine sports. There are 19 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as club men's and women's rugby, the Monroe College marching band, and the newly added esports program, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus, has 17 teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
