Boston, MA,  January 28, 2022 – The Monroe Express track and field program continues to write program history during the program's inaugural season. The Men's Distance Medley team of Jeremiah Herbert (Queens Village, N.Y.), Danario Douglas (Prospect District Hanover, Jamaica), Wayne Stephenson (Falmouth, Jamaica), and Romar Scott (Whithorn, Jamaica) posted a  new school record with a time of 10:57.64 and a tenth place finish.
 
Herbert posted a new career-best with a split of 49.44 while Douglas clocked at 1:59.96 and Stephenson and Scott at 3:16.40 and 4:51.83.
 
Women's track runner Angre Cattouse (Bronx, New York) competed in the 200 meters, posting 29.42.
 
The Express track and field program will get some rest after the snow sets in and get back to work on Day two of the John Thomas Terrier Classic on Sunday, January 30, at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center. ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE COLLEGE
The athletic program at Monroe College encompasses a total of 36 teams competing across nine sports. There are 19 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as club men's and women's rugby, the Monroe College marching band, and the newly added esports program, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus, has 17 teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
