BRONX – The Region 15 All-Academic team was announced on Wednesday afternoon and 57 Monroe Express student-athletes made the list. To qualify for the Region 15 All-Academic team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.25 GPA out of a 4.0 scale, and earned 24 credits or more, during the 2024-25 academic year.

The baseball team led the way for the Express with 22 players making the list. The baseball program also had the highest percentage of its student-athletes who qualified out of the total members on the team (61.1%).
The list of Region 15 All-Academic team honorees is comprised of sports from the 2024-25 season (men's & women's cross country, men's & women's soccer, women's volleyball and tennis, football, men's & women's basketball, men's and women's indoor track & field, men's and women's swimming, men's and women's bowling, men's wrestling, men's and women's outdoor track & field, men's lacrosse and volleyball, golf, tennis, baseball, esports, and softball).

ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE UNIVERSITY
The athletic program at Monroe University encompasses a total of 31 teams competing across nine sports. There are 21 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as club men's and women's rugby, the Monroe University marching band, and the newly added esports and men's volleyball programs, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus, has seven teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
