BRONX – Region 15 officially announced its All-Region Men's Soccer team this past Sunday evening and Monroe University – Bronx is heavily represented. 

Jason Chunchi was selected to the All-Region first team. Mamadou Top landed on the All-Region second team. Salim Anas was named All-Region Honorable Mention. Juan Ramirez earned All-Region Sportsmanship team recognition.

The four honorees helped the Express earn an 8-2-2 regional record (9-5-2 overall) this season. They played big roles in helping Monroe defeat nationally ranked No. 10 Nassau Community College on the road, 2-0, in the regional quarterfinal to clinch a berth in the Region 15 Semifinal round.

Chunchi scored six goals this year and set a program single-season record with 12 assists. His 12 providers led all Region 15 players.

Top had a strong season with seven goals and two assists, while also playing strong defense that led to the Blue and Gold earning six shutouts during the year.

Anas generated seven goals and four helpers in 11 matches played.

Ramirez provided strong leadership for Monroe – Bronx during his second and final year as an Express student-athlete. He scored three goals and added five assists in 2025.

ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE UNIVERSITY
The athletic program at Monroe University encompasses a total of 31 teams competing across nine sports. There are 21 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as club men's and women's rugby, the Monroe University marching band, and the newly added esports and men's volleyball programs, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus, has seven teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
