CHARLOTTE – For the second time this year, Monroe University – Bronx rookie star Oumar Barry earned the selection for NJCAA Division III Men's Soccer Player of the Week. He previously earned the honor back on September 9. The NJCAA made the latest announcement on Wednesday, which can be seen here.

Barry had a very productive week to help catapult Monroe to a No. 9 ranking in the NJCAA Division III Men's Soccer National Poll. He scored three goals and added an assist during the victory against Dutchess Community College, at Flowers Park, back on October 13. Two days later, he notched a goal in the second half to lead the Blue and Gold to a hard-fought 1-1 tie at Suffolk County Community College. That tie clinched the No. 2 seed for the Express in the upcoming Region 15 Postseason.

This season, Barry set program all-time season records in goals (16) and points (38).

The Express will compete in the quarterfinal round of the Region 15 Postseason on Saturday, at Flowers Park, beginning at 3 p.m. The opponent will be announced soon.
