VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Monroe College – Bronx men's basketball team (7-6) will compete in three consecutive games this weekend in the state of Virginia. The Express will complete the second half of their home-and-home series against Bryant & Stratton College Va. (JV) (2-3) on Friday, December 15, at Atlantic Shore Christian Gymnasium at 7:00 p.m. The next day, they will battle Virginia Peninsula Community College (4-4) at Warwick Gymnasium at 3:00 p.m. On Sunday, December 17, Monroe – Bronx will close out its three-game Virginia road trip with a matchup at Paul D. Camp Community College (5-3), at Paul D. Camp CC Gymnasium, starting at 2:00 p.m.

"We are looking forward to really competitive games which will get us prepared for the second half of Region 15 play," Express Head Coach
Chris Neely said. "We also get to spend more time with each other off the court."
This will be Monroe's first ever meeting against Paul D. Camp. Monroe fell to Virginia Peninsula, 73-60, in Virginia last season on December 18, 2022. The Express knocked off Bryant & Stratton Va. (JV), 79-64, this past Sunday, December 10, at Monroe Athetic Complex.

Abubakar Kromah had a strong game for the Express with a game-high 26 points, led all players with 14 rebounds, and dished out four assists. Freshman guard
Steven McGriff also had a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards, while dishing out a trio of assists coming off the bench.
For Bryant & Stratton, freshman guard Tyler Lindsay scored 22 points, grabbed six rebounds, and dished out four assists against the Express.
ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE COLLEGE
The athletic program at Monroe College encompasses a total of 31 teams competing across nine sports. There are 21 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as club men's and women's rugby, the Monroe College marching band, and the newly added esports and men's volleyball programs, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus, has seven teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
