BRONX – The Monroe College – Bronx basketball teams will be back in action on Thursday, November 30, for a key Region 15 doubleheader against Nassau Community College. The games will take place at Monsignor Scanlan Gymnasium with the women beginning at 6:00 p.m. and then the men at 8:00 p.m.

Both games will be streaming at YouTube.com/MonroeExpress. The pair of games will also have live stats which fans can access by going to MonroeExpress.com/Coverage. Be sure to check out the women's and men's digital game programs.

The women's contest will be a battle of nationally ranked teams, and undefeated squads in Region 15 play, with the Express (4-4, 4-0 Region 15) at No 10 and the Lions (5-0, 4-0 Region 15) at No. 14.

Monroe is coming off a convincing 56-43 Region 15 win on the road over Suffolk County Community College on Tuesday, November 28.

Leading the way for the Express this season has been freshman guard Daysiah Smith who is scoring 20.3 points, grabbing 5.6 rebounds, forcing 3.3 steals, and dishing out 3.2 assists per contest. Sophomore forward Kristina Poitier-Wells is bringing down seven boards per game.

Nassau is undefeated to start the season and all four Region 15 victories have come on the road. The latest regional triumph was a 73-34 score over LaGuardia Community College back on November 16.

On the men's side, Monroe (4-4, 1-3 Region 15) looks to snap out of its three-game Region 15 winless streak. In its latest game, they came back from an 18-point deficit to tie the game at Suffolk County Community College, but the Sharks scored the game-winning basket in the closing seconds to hand the Express a heartbreaking loss, back on Tuesday, November 28.
