STONE RIDGE, NY – The Express' lone regular season matchup with the SUNY Ulster Senators (5-1-1, 0-0-1 ended in a 0-0 draw in overtime on Saturday afternoon.
In a grueling defensive match, neither team was able to break free to push themselves to victory. Both teams were unable to get off many shots, as Monroe led the contest with four, while Ulster trailed shortly behind with three. Monroe goalkeeper turned away 7 shots, including five one-on-one attempts and was the anchor for the Express on the defensive end.
The Express return to the field Tuesday (Sept. 20) for a Region XV match against the hometown rival Bronx Community College Broncos (2-0, 1-0 Region XV) at 12:30 PM.
