BRONX, N.Y., April 5, 2022 – Chris Dominguez had a career day on the hill on Tuesday, lifting the Monroe College Express baseball team to a 10-0 run-rule victory over Bronx Community College at Ohio Field. The Express improve to 7-13 overall with the win, and 3-5 in Region 15 play, while Bronx drops to 4-5 both overall and in region play.

Juan Jorge then singled to center, plating Arrieta to make it a 1-0 lead two batters into the game. Jorge then moved himself over to third by immediately stealing two bases, allowing him to score on a ground out by Salomon Lluveres, leaving the Express on top, 2-0.

Joseph Rosario opened the second with a double to center to immediately put a runner in scoring position. With one out, Rosario moved to third on a wild pitch, and then Alex Rodriguez and Randy Diaz drew back-to-back walks to load the bases. With two down, Jorge singled into left, scoring Rosario and Rodriguez to double the lead at 4-0. Lluveres immediately produced for the Express again with a two-RBI triple into left, clearing the bases to make it a 6-0 game. Jose Ramirez kept the inning going with a walk, and then swiped second to put both runners in position to score. Ernie Farrell came through with another bases-clearing triple, bringing in both runners to push Monroe's lead to 8-0.

Malvin Gutierrez got the third going with a single to short, and then advanced to second on an error by the shortstop. Rodriguez doubled him in, making it a 9-0 Monroe lead. Two batters later, a single by Jorge plated Rodriguez to put the Express up by 10 with what proved to be the eventual final score of 10-0
