West Point, N.Y., March 25, 2022 – The Monroe Express men's outdoor track and field team kicked off the program's first-ever outdoor season at the West Point Spring Opener.
Three Express runners were on the card as freshman Wayne Stephenson (Falmouth, Jamaica) and Danario Douglas (Prospect District Hanover, Jamaica) posted top-ten finishes in the 800 Meters with times of 2:01.55 and 2:03.89.
Freshman Romar Scott (Whithorn, Jamaica) suited up in the 1500 Meter finishing with a time of 4:22.61.

ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE COLLEGE
The athletic program at Monroe College encompasses a total of 36 teams competing across nine sports. There are 19 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as club men's and women's rugby, the Monroe College marching band, and the newly added esports program, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus, has 17 teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
