Box Score MIDDLETOWN, NY – Monroe Express men's basketball traveled to Middletown, NY Saturday afternoon for a matinee matchup against the Orange County Community College Colts, resulting in a 97-59 setback inside Chris Schmid Gymnasium. With the defeat, the Express fall to 6-4, and the Colts move to 7-0.
In the end,
Abubakar Kromah led the Express with 13 points, eight rebounds, two steals and one assist.
Andrew Molina followed behind with nine points and three rebounds.
Siddiq McNair added seven points, while
Chad Duke,
Oramis Figuereo and
Vashaun Wallace contributed six points apiece.
The Express return home Tuesday (Dec. 6) for a Region 15 battle against the Hostos Community College Caimans inside Monroe Athletic Complex in New Rochelle, NY at 8 PM.
ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE COLLEGE
The athletic program at Monroe College encompasses a total of 35 teams competing across nine sports. There are 21 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as club men's and women's rugby, the Monroe College marching band, and the newly added esports and men's volleyball programs, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus, has 14 teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
