GARDEN CITY, NY –  Monroe Express men's basketball completed their brief two game Region 15 road trip Thursday evening, dropping a close 74-77 contest to the Nassau Community College Lions inside NCC Main Gym in Garden City, NY. With the loss, the Express fall to 6-3 (3-2 Region 15), and the Lions rise to 6-1 (5-0 Region 15). 

Oramis Figuereo led the Express with 19 points, three rebounds and one steal. Abubakar Kromah followed closely behind with 18 points, a season-high 15 rebounds and four assists. Jasigha Barnes added 13 points, one rebound, one assist and one steal.

The Express stay on the road Saturday (Dec. 3) for a stint against the SUNY Orange County Community College Colts.

ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE COLLEGE
The athletic program at Monroe College encompasses a total of 35 teams competing across nine sports. There are 21 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as club men's and women's rugby, the Monroe College marching band, and the newly added esports and men's volleyball programs, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus, has 14 teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
