Schenectady, N.Y., January 25, 2020 – Three players scored in double figures as the Monroe College Express men's basketball program defeated Schenectady County Community College on Sunday afternoon, 63-45. The Express moves to 6-15 overall with the victory.
 
Sophomore Isiah Ryan tossed in 14 points, five rebounds, and two steals. Freshman Adonis Robinson netted 14 points to go with a game-high eight rebounds, five assists, and six steals. Rookie Kevon Wiggins had 10 points, five rebounds, and two steals.
 
Freshman Jaiden Simon had a career-high nine points, three assists, two rebounds, and two steals while freshman Jameek Brown recorded a season-high six point and six rebounds.

As a team, the Express owned the glass, outrebounding Schenectady 44-to-27 in the contest.

The Express return to action on Thursday, Jan. 30 as they head out to Brooklyn, N.Y. to take on Kingsborough Community College at 8 p.m.

ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE COLLEGE
The athletic program at Monroe College encompasses a total of 30 teams competing across nine sports. There are 19 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as club men's and women's rugby, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Monroe Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus as of the fall of 2017, has 11 varsity and junior varsity teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
