New Rochelle, N.Y., January 25, 2020 – The Monroe Express JV women's basketball team fell at home on Saturday evening, falling to The King's College, 47-37
With the loss, the Express drop to 1-11 on the season.
Freshman Ashley Molina tallied a double-double in the loss, totaling 13 points and 15 rebounds. Freshman
Darlenny Liranzo finished with 10 points, five rebounds, and five steals. Freshman
Rovell Cayenne had three points, six rebounds, and two steals while
Alimah Goodwin picked up 11 rebounds, two assists, and a pair of steals.
The Express JV women's basketball program return home next weekend when they host SUNY Sullivan JV Academy on Sunday, Feb. 2 at the Monroe Athletic Complex.
ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE COLLEGE
The athletic program at Monroe College encompasses a total of 30 teams competing across nine sports. There are 19 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as club men's and women's rugby, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Monroe Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus as of the fall of 2017, has 11 varsity and junior varsity teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
