BRONX, N.Y., April 5, 2019 – Due to inclement weather causing unplayable field conditions, Friday's Monroe Express baseball game against Kingsborough Community College at Roberto Clemente State Park has been postponed to Sunday, April 7 at 12:00 p.m. and will be played at the Kingsborough Athletics Field in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Following their 11-1, five-inning run-rule victory over the Wave on Tuesday, the Express sit a 2-13 (1-4 Region XV) on the season.
The Express will be back in action on Saturday, April 6 when they travel to Brooklyn, N.Y. to take on the Wave in a doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m.
ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE COLLEGE
The athletic program at Monroe College encompasses a total of 28 teams competing across nine sports. There are 19 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as club men's and women's rugby, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Monroe Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus as of the fall of 2017, has nine varsity and junior varsity teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
