BRONX, N.Y., November 7, 2017 – The Monroe Express men's basketball team fell to the Bronx Community College Broncos, 68-62, on Tuesday. 
 
After being outscored by thirteen in the first half, 40-27, the Express rallied back to outscore the Broncos, 35-28 in the second half, but fell just short to Bronx CC.

Demetris Fasoye led the Express with 13 points on 6-of-10 shooting, while Gian Batista and Louis Florimon added nine and eight points apiece, respectively. 
 
The Express are back in action on Thursday, Nov. 9 when they travel to Poughkeepsie, NY to take on Dutchess Community College at 8 p.m.

ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE COLLEGE
The athletic program at Monroe College encompasses a total of 26 teams competing across nine sports. There are 18 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as club men's rugby, and the newly added club women's rugby team, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Monroe Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus, will have six teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level beginning in the fall of 2017.
