SUFFERN, N.Y., October 12, 2017 – Behind
Mamadou Diombera's hat trick, the Monroe Express men's soccer team topped the Rockland Community College Hawks, 3-0, to win their seventh-straight match and move to 7-3 on the season.
Abdoul Sangare picked up an assist on Diombera's first goal of the afternoon,
Kyle Minott on the second, and Diombera finished off his hat trick with an unassisted third goal.
The Express will go for their eight-straight win when they take on Suffolk County Community College on Saturday, Oct. 14 in Selden, NY at 1:00 PM EST.
ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE COLLEGE
The athletic program at Monroe College encompasses a total of 26 teams competing across nine sports. There are 18 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as club men's rugby, and the newly added club women's rugby team, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Monroe Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus, will have six teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level beginning in the fall of 2017.
