Ramon Terry

Ramon Terry was named assistant coach of the Monroe University - Bronx women's basketball team in September of 2023. This marks the second stop in a row where Terry will serve as Express Head Coach Damel Ling's assistant.

In Terry's first season at Monroe, the Express captured the Region 15 and Northeast District Championships. They defeated three nationally ranked teams in the process, including No. 12 Rowan College South Jersey Gloucester County in the consolation game of the NJCAA Tournament. 

In 2024-25, Terry helped the Express to their second consecutive appearance in the Region 15 Championship Game.

Prior to Monroe - Bronx, Terry served as assistant coach for Damel Ling at Borough of Manhattan Community College during the 2022-23 season. He helped propel the Panthers to a 6-4 record in CUNY Athletic Conference play and a berth in the CUNYAC Championship game. He coached Emily Kennedy who earned NJCAA National Player of the Week honors. He also mentored Demaris Andrews who was named the CUNYAC Rookie of the Year. 

Prior to BMCC, Terry was the coach of Mountain B-Ball in Tobyhanna, Pa. While there, he taught discipline and good sportsmanship, arranged the time and location for practices, and orchestrated drills and fitness to help athletes improve their conditioning and performance.

A native of Tobyhanna, Pa., Terry earned his associate degree in early childhood education from Bergen County Community College in May of 2004.
