Christopher St. Rose

Christopher St. Rose was named assistant coach of the Monroe College - Bronx women's basketball team in October of 2023. 

In St. Rose's first season at Monroe, the Express captured the Region 15 and Northeast District Championships. They defeated three nationally ranked teams in the process, including No. 12 Rowan College South Jersey Gloucester County in the consolation game of the NJCAA Tournament. 

Prior to Monroe, St. Rose had a very successful basketball playing career. He was the shooting guard for his alma mater Salem International University from 2001 until 2005. Because of his strong play, he was invited to the West Virginia Collegiate All-Star game. 

St. Rose played basketball for several professional organizations such as the Brighton Bears (2005-06 season), the Pro A League in France (2008-09 season), the Arkansas Rivercatz (2010-11 season), and the New York Lightning (2015-2018, three seasons). 

In addition to Monroe - Bronx, St. Rose also serves as a volunteer assistant basketball coach for Environmental Studies High School in New York City, a position he has held since September of 2019. He also served as a teacher and basketball coach for the Police Athletic Association during the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons.

A resident of Kew Gardens, N.Y., St. Rose graduated with a bachelor's degree in communications and marketing from Salem International University in May of 2005.
