Zahra Medina

Zahra Medina joined the Monroe College - Bronx softball coaching staff as a primary assistant prior to the 2023 spring season. She is an alumnus of the Monroe College Express softball program from 2019 until 2022.

Medina was a part of the historic 2022 season when the Express won the regional and district championship and went to the NJCAA World Series. 
She had a .354 career batting average and 36 runs batted in. The Bronx resident was a utility player who pitched, played shortstop, and occupied the outfield for the Express. 

The Monroe - Bronx alumnus attended The Laboratory School of Finance & Technology and played four years of softball for the high school. She was named the team's MVP during her freshman, sophomore, and junior years. Medina led the team at the plate in batting average and stolen bases. In the circle, she produced the most strikeouts out of everybody on the team. 

Medina earned her bachelor's degree in sports management from Monroe College - Bronx in June of 2022.
