Tyler Simmons officially joined the Monroe University - Bronx men's volleyball coaching staff in September of 2024.
In 2025, Simmons helped the Express reach new heights during his first year as assistant coach. Monroe won its first regional postseason match in program history against Kingsborough on March 25 to earn a berth in the Region 15 Semifinals. The Express also competed in the NJCAA Men's Volleyball National Invitational.
Simmons started the strength and conditioning program for the Legacy Volleyball Club in the Bronx back in 2023.
Currently residing in New York City, Simmons is certified in CPR/AED/First Aid and holds several licenses from organizations such as the National Strength and Conditioning Association, USA Weightlifting, and Spellman Performance.
Simmons has coaching experience with football. He served as a coach for the Eugene Monroe All-Pro Football Camp and was a youth football and strength and conditioning coach for the Jets of Harlem Inc.
