Stiven Valencia joined the Monroe Express men's soccer coaching staff as an assistant coach in August of 2024.
In Valencia's first season in 2024, he helped the Express earn a 9-4-3 record, a No. 6 national ranking, and the third seed in the Region 15 Tournament with an 8-2-2 record against regional opponents. He coached Chrismonor Eugene who was named the NJCAA Division III Offensive Player of the Week and was selected to the All-Region 15 first team. Xcaret Gonzalez and Jonathan Lima landed on the All-Region first team and second team, respectively.
In addition to his coaching duties for the Express, Valencia also serves as the director of coaching for the Greenburgh United Soccer Program, a position he has held since 2019.
Prior to Monroe, Valencia was the head coach of the Dobbs Ferry High School boys' junior varsity soccer team from 2018 until 2020. He also worked for the New York Red Bulls Organization from 2013 until 2019, starting off as a trainer (2013-2017) and then serving as the regional coordinator (2017-2019).
Valencia was a specialized soccer coach for White Plains Park and Recreation from 2010 until 2013 where he worked with youth players to help draw out their potential.
The Quincy, Conn. resident holds a USSF E License and several coaching diplomas.
