Jovani Amador joined the Express men's soccer coaching as an assistant coach in August of 2024. He has strong skills in communication, handling pressure, leadership, and teamwork.Â
In Amador's first season in 2024, he helped the Express earn a 9-4-3 record, a No. 6 national ranking, and the third seed in the Region 15 Tournament with an 8-2-2 record against regional opponents. He coached Chrismonor Eugene who was named the NJCAA Division III Offensive Player of the Week and was selected to the All-Region 15 first team. Xcaret Gonzalez and Jonathan Lima landed on the All-Region first team and second team, respectively.Â
Prior to Monroe, Amador played goalkeeper for Saint Elizabeth University, an NCAA Division III school, from 2019 until 2023.
