Jesfry Franco Vasquez was named assistant coach of the Monroe University - Bronx men's soccer team in August of 2026.
No stranger to the program, Franco Vasquez was a student-athlete for the Express men's soccer team during the 2023 and 2024 seasons, leading his team to the Region 15 Postseason both times. He scored a goal on his sophomore day to lead Monroe to the Region 15 victory over Dutchess Community College on October 15, 2024. In the summer of 2024, he earned Region 15 All-Academic team recognition.
Franco Vasquez came back to Monroe during the 2025-26 season to volunteer for the team and help out behind the scenes.
During the fall 2024 season, Franco Vasquez served as the assistant coach for the Academy for Language and Technology (his high school alma mater where he played soccer from 2019 until 2022). While he was there as the assistant coach, Franco Vasquez collaborated with the coaching staff during the official high school soccer season, supporting training sessions and team operations.
A native of the Bronx, Franco Vasquez completed his bachelor's degree in business administration from Monroe University - Bronx in August of 2026.
