Marktise Brown has been the top assistant coach for the Monroe University - Bronx men's basketball program since its first season in 2017-18.
Under Brown's leadership, the Express won the Region 15/Northeast District Championships and earned an automatic bid into the NJCAA Division III Men's Basketball National Tournament during the 2021-22 season, made five trips to the Region 15 Semifinals, including two appearances in the Region 15 Championship Game, and qualified for the regional playoffs six times.Â
In addition to his duties at Monroe - Bronx, Brown also serves as the head coach of the Young Adult Borough Centers at Walton High School basketball program, a position he has held since January of 2016. He also serves as the assistant coach for the Castle Athletic Armature Athletic Union (AAU) basketball team and has occupied that role since July of 2014.Â
During the 2014-15 season, Brown was the assistant coach of the Grace Dodge High School basketball team. During the previous nine seasons, he was the assistant coach for the Christopher Columbus High School varsity basketball team and also served as the basketball club lead coordinator.Â
A native of Bronx, N.Y., Brown is the co-founder of ATM Live Basketball Tournament Council for Unity.Â
