Kaynaan Longley was named assistant coach of the Monroe University - Bronx Express men's basketball team prior to the start of the 2022-23 season.
In his two seasons with the team, Saunders helped lead the Express to a 41-22 overall record. He led the Express to the No. 2 seed and a berth in the Region 15 Semifinals twice during his tenure.
No stranger to Monroe, Kaynaan played for the Monroe University - New Rochelle junior varsity basketball team during the 2016-17 and 2018-19 seasons. During his sophomore campaign, he grabbed 198 rebounds, forced 30 steals, and blocked 28 shots. Longley finished with 218 boards during his collegiate basketball career.
A native of Grand Bahama, Bahamas, Longley earned his bachelor's degree in information technology from Monroe University - New Rochelle in June of 2019. Three years later, he received his master's degree in business management - project management from the same institution.
