Frank Ballar joined the Monroe University - Bronx baseball program as an assistant coach in January of 2025.
In his first year as a coach, the Express won 30 games and advanced to the Region 15 Championship Round.
In 2026, he helped the Express get over the hump and capture the Region 15 Championship, winning all three regional playoff games as the No. 1 seed. Monroe produced a 27-15 overall record (15-3 Region 15) and a national ranking of No. 13 in the NJCAA National Poll. The Blue and Gold earned a berth in the Northeast District Championship Series. Nine Monroe - Bronx athletes were named to the All-Region team, including four first-team recipients. Three players won Gold Glove awards.
No stranger to the Express baseball program, Ballar was a pitcher for Monroe - Bronx during the shortened-2020 season, as well as 2022 and 2023. He racked up 10 strikeouts during his collegiate career.
Ballar served as a sports facility assistant during his time as a student at Monroe University.
The Bronx resident graduated from his alma mater with a degree in sport management and business administration in June of 2023.
