BRYN MAWR, Pa. - The Monroe University - Bronx men's volleyball team fell in its non-region match to Harcum College in straight sets at Klein Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon. Set scores were 25-20, 25-15, and 26-24.
Leading the way for the Express (2-12) was freshman 
Darren Lopez who generated eight kills, five digs, four blocks, and a pair of service aces. Sophomore 
Jeremy Rivera-Aponte notched six kills and five digs. Rookie 
Edwin Ortega compiled four putdowns, just as many aces, and a trio of digs, Rookie 
Aiverson Guillen registered a team-high seven digs. Freshman 
Fidel Ramirez slammed home three kills. Sophomore 
Mickey Mingo tallied five digs and two blocks. Freshman 
David Garcia added eight assists and four digs, while sophomore 
Wiltor Cubas led the team with nine helpers.
Monroe - Bronx will battle Kingsborough Community College, in a Region 15 matchup at Kingsborough Gym, on Monday evening. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. 
ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE UNIVERSITY  
The athletic program at Monroe University encompasses a total of 31 teams competing across nine sports. There are 21 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as club men's and women's rugby, the Monroe University marching band, and the newly added esports and men's volleyball programs, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus, has seven teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
