BRONX – Monroe University – Bronx Men's Volleyball Head Coach
Marien Garcia is pleased to announce the hiring of former Express student-athlete
Jeremy Rivera-Aponte as assistant coach for the program.

"Being the assistant coach means a lot to me," Rivera-Aponte said. "It's an honor to be involved in the same program that I used to participate as a player. My goal is to help our players and push the team past our limit and go to nationals."
In his illustrious collegiate volleyball career,
Rivera-Aponte generated 405 kills, 247 digs, 87 blocks, and 86 service aces. He helped lead Monroe to the semifinal round of the Region 15 Tournament and a berth in the

"We are excited to have Jeremy join our coaching staff," Coach Garcia said. "Stepping into the role, he is well prepared to fulfill it with integrity and accountability. His dedication will be invaluable as he contributes to every facet of the program he helped develop back when he was a student-athlete."
Rivera-Aponte served as a student manager for the Express women's volleyball team during the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
In addition to his playing career,
