Express Women's Volleyball to Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month With Match Against Roxbury CC on Sunday

BRONX – The Monroe University – Bronx women's volleyball team will take on Roxbury Community College, at Monsignor Scanlan Gymnasium, on Sunday afternoon at 12:00 p.m. First serve is scheduled for noon. The Express women's volleyball program will be celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month during the contest and fans are encouraged to bring their flags.

The Express are 3-3 to start the season and are coming off a straight-set victory over Kingsborough Community College to open Region 15 play this past Thursday, while this marks the inaugural season for the Tigers who dropped their first ever match to NHTI Concord's Community College, 3-0, on September 3.

ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE UNIVERSITY
The athletic program at Monroe University encompasses a total of 31 teams competing across nine sports. There are 21 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as club men's and women's rugby, the Monroe University marching band, and the newly added esports and men's volleyball programs, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus, has seven teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
