BRONX – The Monroe College – Bronx men's volleyball team will take on Monroe College – New Rochelle in a Region 15 contest on Thursday evening at the Monroe Athletic Complex in New Rochelle, N.Y. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. The Express will be the official home team for the contest.

Monroe – Bronx (0-13, 0-2 Region 15) aims to capture its first win in program history. In its previous match, they won the opening set over Kingsborough Community College, 25-23, this past Saturday at the MAC. However, the Express lost the remaining three sets, 25-23, 25-20, and 25-17.
Leading the way for the Express this season has been freshman middle blocker
Jeremy Rivera-Aponte who is slamming home 2.43 kills per set and anchoring the defense with 1.50 digs per game. Rookie outside hitter
Juan Arias is leading the defense with 2.36 digs per stanza. First-year setter
Wiltor Cubas as producing 4.33 assists and 1.19 digs per frame.
The Mustangs (15-4, 3-0 Region 15) advanced all the way to the National Championship match last season. They are off to a good start this year as they have been led by sophomore outside hitter Arnau Riu Giralt who is averaging 4.19 kills and 1.60 digs per set and has scored 41 service aces this season.
