BRONX - The Monroe College - Bronx women's basketball team will host Berkeley College N.Y., a USCAA school, in a non-regional contest at Monsignor Scanlan Gymnasium on Tuesday evening. Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m.
It will be Sophomore Night and Monroe College will honor
Daysiah Smith,
Kristina Poitier-Wells, and
Xing Stewart-Greer with a ceremony prior to the start of the game.
Monroe - Bronx (14-15) has been led by Smith this year who is averaging 20.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.5 steals, and 4.4 assists per game. Poitier-Wells is grabbing 6.6 rebounds per contest, while Stewart-Greer is clutching 4.0 caroms per outing.
For Berkeley (9-12), sophomore forward Keisy Villanueva is producing 19.7 points and 13.3 rebounds per game so far in 2023-24.
This marks the first meeting all time between the Express and the Knights.

ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE COLLEGE
The athletic program at Monroe College encompasses a total of 31 teams competing across nine sports. There are 21 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as club men's and women's rugby, the Monroe College marching band, and the newly added esports and men's volleyball programs, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus, has seven teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
