BRONX - The nationally ranked No. 10 Monroe College - Bronx women's basketball team will look to get back on track on Thursday, December 7, with a non-regional matchup at Sussex County Community College. Tipoff at Sussex County CC Gymnasium is set for 5:00 p.m.

This marks Monroe - Bronx's first time ever facing Sussex County.

The Express had its 25-game Region 15 winning streak snapped on Tuesday, December 5, thanks to a 68-55 defeat at the hands of Hostos Community College at Monsignor Scanlan Gymnasium. Monroe is now 6-5 overall.

The Skylanders (2-5) ae coming off a close 56-52 loss on their home court to Penn State - Scranton on December 5.

Freshman guard Daysiah Smith is leading the way for the Express this season with 18.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.8 steals, and 3.6 steals per game.

For the Skylanders, sophomore forward Riley Feichtl is averaging 19.6 points, 16.0 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per contest so far in the 2023-24 season.

ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE COLLEGE
The athletic program at Monroe College encompasses a total of 31 teams competing across nine sports. There are 21 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as club men's and women's rugby, the Monroe College marching band, and the newly added esports and men's volleyball programs, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus, has seven teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
