BRONX - The Monroe College - Bronx men's soccer team has a crucial Region 15 match against Kingsborough Community College on Tuesday, October 10. The action at Kingsborough Athletics Field will begin at 4:00 p.m.

This contest will have heavy regional playoff implications. The Express (3-5-1, 3-5-1 Region 15)Â are in eighth place in the Region 15 standings, but are just three points behind both Westchester Community College and Borough of Manhattan Community College for the sixth and final playoff spot. Each of those three teams have three Region 15 matches left to play and one victory is worth two points in the standings. A tie is worth one point.
Kingsborough (9-1-1, 7-1-1 Region 15) sits in third place in the standings, based on current point percentage. The Wave are also receiving votes in the NJCAA Division III Men's Soccer National Rankings.Â

Kingsborough has been unbeaten in its last five matches and is receiving votes in the NJCAA Division III Men's Soccer National Rankings. The Wave have been led by sophomore Joseph Pierre who has tallied 14 goals and a pair of assist so far this season. Classmate Keithlend Cesar has generated eight goals and seven assists, for 23 points, in 2023.Â

ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE COLLEGE
The athletic program at Monroe College encompasses a total of 31 teams competing across nine sports. There are 21 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as club men's and women's rugby, the Monroe College marching band, and the newly added esports and men's volleyball programs, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus, has seven teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
