ACCORD, N.Y. - The Monroe College - Bronx men's soccer team fell to nationally ranked No. 8 Ulster County Community College, 2-0, at Rondout Valley Soccer Field on Sunday afternoon, October 8. The Express, who are chasing a spot in the upcoming Region 15 Postseason, fall to 3-5-1 both in overall play and in Region 15 competition. The Senators advance their regional and overall record to 9-1-2.

Krit Raj Maharjan made six saves to help Monroe - Bronx.
Ulster tallied the first goal in the opening half, scored by freshman forward Ashaasea Sankofa, and the second tally during the final 45 minutes of play by sophomore defender Dantae McDonald.
Monroe - Bronx's push for the regional playoffs will continue on Tuesday, October 10, with a pivotal Region 15 matchup against Kingsborough Community College. The action at Kingsborough Athletics Field will begin at 4:00 p.m.
ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE COLLEGE
The athletic program at Monroe College encompasses a total of 31 teams competing across nine sports. There are 21 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as club men's and women's rugby, the Monroe College marching band, and the newly added esports and men's volleyball programs, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus, has seven teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
