VALHALLA, N.Y. - The Monroe College - Bronx men's soccer team was victorious over LaGuardia Community College, via forfeit, on the campus of Westchester Community College on Saturday afternoon, October 14.

With the win, Monroe - Bronx (5-5-1, 5-5-1 Region 15) keeps its Region 15 playoff hopes alive. If nationally ranked No. 6 Suffolk County Community College wins or ties against Rockland Community College on Sunday, October 15, and the Express defeat Dutchess Community College in the regular season finale on Tuesday, October 17, then Monroe will clinch a berth in the Region 15 Postseason. 

Monroe's final regular season match against Dutchess will take place at Culinary Institute of America Soccer Field, on Tuesday, beginning at 4:00 p.m.

ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE COLLEGE
The athletic program at Monroe College encompasses a total of 31 teams competing across nine sports. There are 21 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as club men's and women's rugby, the Monroe College marching band, and the newly added esports and men's volleyball programs, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus, has seven teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
