NEW ROCHELLE, NY – Monroe Express JV women's basketball took on Monroe Mustangs JV resulting in a 78-41 victory inside the Monroe Athletic Complex. This is the Express' third consecutive victory over the Mustangs this season. With the win, the Express move to 6-2 on the season, while the Mustangs fall to 0-4.
In the victory,
Kuari Green led all scorers with 27 points (season-high), eight steals, six rebounds and two assists.
Kassandra Marks followed with 22 points (season-high), seven rebounds, four steals, one assist and one block.
Christina Reilly also posted a season-high with 14 points, two rebounds, two blocks and one steal.
Xing Stewart-Greer joined in with a season-high seven points and nine rebounds.
The Express hit the road Tuesday (Dec. 6) to take on Putnam Science Academy in Putnam, CT at 6 PM.
ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE COLLEGE
The athletic program at Monroe College encompasses a total of 35 teams competing across nine sports. There are 21 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as club men's and women's rugby, the Monroe College marching band, and the newly added esports and men's volleyball programs, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus, has 14 teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
