Both teams went scoreless in the third before the Broncos extended their lead with two runs in the top of the fourth, but this time Monroe had an answer, and scored three in the bottom of the frame.
Julian Ovalles-Garcia drew a walk to lead off the bottom of the fourth, and moved to second when
Edwin Veras was hit by a pitch. After Ovalles-Garcia was caught stealing third,
Alvin Vasquez brought Veras home with an RBI double to cut the deficit to 8-3, before Vasquez advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on
Leandro Rodriguez's fielder's choice to make it 8-4.
Another run on
Harold Valdez' RBI single, scoring

Christian Millan worked around an error and a walk to keep the Broncos off the scoreboard in the top of the fifth, and with two out and runners on second and third in the bottom of the fifth for the Express, the game was suspended due to darkness.
Alvin Vazquez came to bat when the game was resumed on Thursday, April 12, and while he drew a walk to load the bases, the Express were unable to score and trailed 8-5 heading to the sixth.
