Carl Isidore

Carl Isidore enters his second season with the Express, having joined the Monroe Express after a successful season as an assistant coach for the Monroe Mustangs. The Mustangs were named the NJCAA Region 15 Champions that season.

He joined the College in 2016 after three seasons on the basketball coaching staff at Globe Institute of Technology. He spent one season as an assistant coach with the men’s program and two seasons in the same role with the women’s team. During his tenure, his teams made it to the conference finals twice and a Globe player was named Academic All-American & NJCAA Nation Leading Scorer. Ironically, it was also during his first season there that Globe fell to Monroe College in the first round of the Region 15 NJCAA playoffs.

Earlier in his career, Coach Isidore was an assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s basketball programs at TCI College of Technology, his alma mater. During his one season there, the team earned the NJCAA Region 15 Championship title.  As a player at TCI, where he earned his degree in Office Technology, he was named co-captain and led the nation in 3-point percentage (55%); he also played in the conference finals.  He later attended Concordia College where his team made their first final four conference appearance.

After his college career, Isidore went on to play for the ABA Halifax Rainmen Preseason Tour Team.
