Luis Roman helped close out a big Region 15 road victory for the Monroe University - Bronx baseball team over nationally ranked No. 7 Suffolk County Community College on April 15 as he earned a six-out save. He entered the game in the bottom of the eighth with runners on first and second, nobody out and he retired all three hitters he faced during the frame. In the bottom of the ninth, the tying run was on third but Roman remained calm under pressure and struck out the final batter of the game to clinch the victory for the Express and nail his second save of the year. Roman fanned four hitters during the afternoon.
