Maria Negron (Bronx, New York) was a dominant force on the glass, averaging 23.5 rebounds per game to lead the Express to two straight wins last week. Negron brought down a career-high 24 rebounds and scored 11 points in the Express's 59-52 victory over Region 15 opponent Nassau Community College for his first career double-double. She followed that up with an encore performance last Saturday against Bronx Community College with 23 rebounds and just missed back-to-back double-doubles by two points with eight points in the contest.

She also swatted away a career-best five blocks on Saturday and had a total of seven steals.

She is currently second on the team with 172 total rebounds and 7.2 rebounds per game.
