Shayla Tompkins enters her first season with the Monroe Express, joining the program for the 2018 season.
Tompkins most recently served as the assistant varsity volleyball coach for Ethical Culture Fieldston School in the Bronx, helping the Eagles to a first place finish in the 2017 Brearley Dalton Volleyball Tournament.

Tompkins also worked at Fordham Preparatory School for the past two years, where she was the boys head varsity volleyball coach, and the All-Star Volleyball Club for the past three years, where she was the head volleyball coach. Tompkins recently guided the All-Star Volleyball Club to a first place finish in the 2018 Sportime Day Tournament.

Tompkins attended Lehman College, where she played four seasons for the Lightning, graduating in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
