Anfernee De La Rosa

Anfernee De La Rosa joined the Monroe University - Bronx women's basketball program as an assistant coach in October of 2025. 

During his first season with the team, the Express went 26-8, captured the Region 15 and Northeast District Championships, qualified for the NJCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship Tournament, and earned a national ranking of No. 4. 

No stranger to coaching, De La Rosa currently serves as the founder and coach of Sporting Growth where he develops personalized training sessions for youth athletes (ages 8-16) tailored to individual skill levels and goals. De La Rosa also analyzes practice sessions, delivering actionable feedback to enhance player performance and skill development. 

From September 2017 until December 2019, De La Rosa was the assistant site supervisor and basketball coach for The Greater Ridgewood Youth Council. While he was there, he directed basketball programs for middle and high school students, fostering skill development and a love for the game. 

Prior to his promotion within The Greater Ridgewood Youth Council, De La Rosa served as the recreational instructor as well as the basketball coach for the junior varsity and varsity teams. He led the basketball practices and games. He also promoted teamwork and sportsmanship among the youth athletes. 

De La Rosa holds several certifications and licenses, including the USA Basketball Gold Coach License.
