Xcaret Gonzalez officially joined the Monroe University – Bronx coaching staff as an assistant coach in August of 2026.
His responsibilities include assisting Express Head Coach Jose Hernandez with organizing and conducting daily training sessions, helping develop players’ technical abilities, tactical awareness, and physical fitness, as well as supporting game-day preparation, warmups, and match operations.
No stranger to the Express men’s soccer family, Gonzalez was a standout player for Monroe – Bronx during the 2024 season. He finished the year with six goals and four assists to earn him a spot on the All-Region first team. The elite midfielder led his team to the regional postseason in 2024.
Gonzalez earned the Most Outstanding Player Award at the Express Awards Lunch in April of 2025. He also succeeded in the classroom which earned him Region 15 All-Academic team recognition. Gonzalez was also named the Express Athlete of the Week during his very productive season as a Monroe – Bronx men’s soccer student-athlete.
A native of the Bronx, Gonzalez completed his bachelor’s degree in sport management from Monroe’s Bronx Campus in August of 2026.
