NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y., September 24, 2019 – In the second meeting between the two programs this season, the Monroe College Express women's soccer program fell to Bristol Community College, 5-0, on Tuesday.
For Bristol, freshman Alyssa Tortora led the Bayhawks with four unassisted goals in the contest. Sophomore Mackenzie Kennedy chipped in with one score after finding a feed pass from classmate Makayla Pinkston.

Ramatoulaye Diallo recorded two shots while freshmen
Fatoumata Sanneh and
Aissata Diallo were each credited with one shot. Freshman goalkeeper
Myrna Gregorie made her third start in goal for the Express, tying her season-high of seven saves.
Overall, the Express were outshot 16-8, and faced a 12-4 shot on goal deficit.
Next up, the Express return to Region XV play, traveling to take on the Sharks of Suffolk Community College on Saturday, Sept. 28 for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff in Selden, N.Y.
ABOUT THE ATHLETIC PROGRAM AT MONROE COLLEGE
The athletic program at Monroe College encompasses a total of 30 teams competing across nine sports. There are 19 varsity and junior varsity programs, as well as club men's and women's rugby, competing on the New Rochelle campus as the Monroe Mustangs (NJCAA Division I). The Monroe Express, based out of the Bronx campus as of the fall of 2017, has 11 varsity and junior varsity teams competing at the NJCAA Division III level.
