Coach Jeremy Thompson enters his third season with the Monroe Express women's basketball program in 2021-22. In his first season with the program in 2019-20, Thompson led the Express to a 19-13 overall record and the team's second-ever Region 15 Championship Tournament win.
The Express entered the 2020 Region 15 Championship Tournament as the No. 3 seed after a strong season, and defeated No. 6 Dutchess County Community College in the opening round of the tournament.
In 2019-20, freshman Quanisha Griffin earned a spot on the Region 15 All-Region First Team, while Darlenny Liranzo was selected to the All-Sportsmanship Team. The women's basketball team earned its first-ever NJCAA Academic Team Honorable Mention that year, while six women's basketball student-athletes earned spots on the NJCAA All-Academic Team.

Coach Thompson was previously with City College of New York (CCNY) as associate head coach. In his final season with the Beavers, Thompson helped coach two City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) All-Stars and helped lead the team to a CUNYAC Final Four appearance.

Prior to joining CCNY, Thompson coached for one season at Mitchell College in New London, Conn., finishing fourth in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) and advancing to the NECC Semifinals.

Previously, Thompson also served as the assistant coach at Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, Conn. In Thompson's one year with the program, the Falcons reached the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) quarterfinals in 2017-16 with two All-GNAC players.

Prior to his stint with the Falcons, Thompson was the head varsity coach for one season at Bunnell High School in Stratford, Conn., coaching two All-Conference athletes during the 2015-16 season.

From 2016-17, Thompson founded and coached the Connecticut Sound AAU program, overseeing multiple girls and boys AAU teams for four years. In 2017, Thompson's program won a Connecticut State Championship.

In 2014, Thompson also coached the JCC Mid-Westchester Maccabi Games team, winning a silver medal at the international competition.

Thompson also spent two seasons as an AAU girls' basketball head coach with Connecticut Premier in 2013. As the head coach of the 15U team in 2013-14, Thompson finished second in the state, while in 2014-15, Thompson sent multiple athletes to play at the NCAA and NJCAA level.

Thompson began his women's basketball coaching career at Staples High School in Westport, Conn., serving as the head freshman coach in 2013-14 and the assistant varsity coach in 2014-15. Thompson coached the freshmen to the No. 1-ranking in the Fairfield County Interscholastic Conference (FCIAC) among freshman teams in 2014, while the varsity team made the FCIAC playoffs in 2015 under Thompson's tutelage.

A graduate of Mamaroneck High School, Thompson earned his bachelor's degree from Muhlenberg College in communications and business administration in 2008. Thompson recently completed his master's in sports management at Southern New Hampshire University.
