Monroe University Bronx

Edwin Ortega had a successful week for the Monroe University - Bronx men's volleyball team. He led the Express to a victory in the Region 15 Play-In match against Kingsborough by racking up 10 kills, two aces, and a .421 hitting percentage to pace Monroe's attack. Ortega also anchored the defense with a team-high seven digs to help the Express clinch a berth in the Region 15 Semifinals for the first time in the program's young history. Thanks to his strong play, he was named to the Region 15 All-Tournament team. Ortega also earned Region 15 All-Sportsmanship team honors.
