Toni Shawnee turned in two strong starts against No. 6-ranked Suffolk County Community College this past weekend. She totaled 14 innings pitched with a 2.00 ERA (four earned runs), while striking out 12 batters. Shawnee allowed two eraned runs with seven strikeouts in Thursday's 3-2 loss to Suffolk, and then came back with five strikeouts and two earned runs allowed in Saturay's 5-4 win over the Sharks.
